Privacy Policy

Misty Sparrow Crest is a small information site. This policy says what personal information reaches the operator when you write, call or send the form, why it is needed and what you can ask for. It is written to match what the site actually does today.

1. Who is responsible

The personal information described here is handled by the operator of Misty Sparrow Crest, at 1-28-16 Noguchimotomachi, Beppu, Oita 874-0933, Japan. The operator's name is given on request. Questions about this policy and requests about your information can be sent to info@mistysparrowcrest.com, by phone to +81 977-80-9757, or by post to the address above.

Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) is the main law that applies. This policy follows its structure: what is collected, for what purpose, to whom it may go, how long it is kept and what you can ask for.

2. What is collected

3. Purposes of use

4. What this site does not do

5. Sharing with others

Personal information is not provided to third parties without your consent, except where the law requires or allows it (for example a request from a court or an investigating authority).

Service providers who handle information on the operator's behalf, such as an email service, the hosting service for this site, a bank for receiving transfers or an accountant, may process it only as far as needed for their service. The operator remains responsible for them under the APPI. If a provider stores data outside Japan, the operator will tell you which country on request.

6. How long information is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to any work are kept only as long as needed to answer them and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you write again, and are then deleted. Records of an engagement (the written confirmation, the delivered note and the payment record) are kept as long as accounting rules and the handling of any later question about the note require, and are then deleted. No fixed number of years is promised here; you can ask for deletion at any time, subject to the legal duty to keep certain accounting records.

7. Documents that contain other people's data

Please do not send the names, addresses, phone numbers or order details of your own customers. A note about terms or a complaint briefing does not need them. Black out or replace such details before sharing correspondence. If material with third-party details arrives anyway, the operator will ask you to resend a cleaned version and will delete the original.

8. Security

Reasonable measures are taken to keep information from being lost, altered or seen by people who should not see it: access to the operator's mailbox and files is limited to the operator, devices are protected, and shared documents are deleted when no longer needed. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so avoid sending anything sensitive by email.

9. Your rights

10. Children

This site and its written notes are aimed at people who run or plan to run an online business. It is not directed at children, and the operator does not knowingly collect information from them.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please write to the operator first so that it can be put right. You may also contact the Personal Information Protection Commission (Kojin Joho Hogo Iinkai), the Japanese public body that oversees the APPI.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, for example because a service such as analytics is added to the site, the new text will be published here with a new date before the change takes effect. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
